How it works
Just sign up your eligible restaurant for SubEnergy and once installed you’ll automatically receive SubOps, GoTemp, and an iPad. You pay nothing, it’s that simple.
PLUS:
Already have SubOps or GoTemp? You can still benefit from this bundle. Check out our FAQ section for more details below.
1 For qualified restaurants (see details)
2 Direct sign-up with IPC required (see details)
We know COVID-19 has impacted restaurant operators harder than most other industries. Taking advantage of this program with no out-of-pocket expenses during these difficult times can help your restaurant:
What is the cost to participate?
Nothing. Franchisees have no out-of-pocket costs to participate. All SubEnergy upgrades (LED lights, etc.) are installed at no cost and all associated SubOps and GoTemp subscriptions and hardware are also provided at no cost.
Which restaurants are eligible?
To qualify for this offer, the Subway restaurant must meet the following criteria:
How is the bundle value of $18,500 to $25,500 calculated?
This bundle includes savings on your energy bill, LED lights, the subscription and hardware for both SubOps and GoTemp, and HVAC upgrades (if eligible) with all of the other value and benefits of SubEnergy. The total value of this bundle to the franchisee is estimated at $25,500 or more!
Sample estimates for illustrative purposes:
Total estimated value from the example above:
1 Mid-range cost estimated based on actual franchisee 3rd party quotes
2 Restaurants that are eligible will receive HVAC upgrades including full HVAC replacement if necessary
3 For illustrative purposes, with a $15,000 annual energy spend franchisee would receive $150 per year committed savings ($1,500 over 10 years) PLUS an additional shared savings over 20%. Assuming 25% savings are achieved in this example (actual savings may be higher or lower based on actual results), this results in an additional franchisee savings of $375 per year in years 4 through 10 ($2,625 over 7 years)
4 Monitoring sensors and alerts valued at $39 per month ($4,680 over 10 years)
5 Subscription cost is for 10 years
6 Starter roll of 500 labels included, additional labels purchased by franchisee
7 Individual franchisees are required to sign up directly with IPC for their tablets. SubEnergy will provide a credit on your monthly bill to reimburse the cost of the iPad Rental Program (more details available here)
What if I’m already a SubEnergy customer?
You may still be eligible to switch over to this promotion. Please contact our team at for more information.
How do I receive my SubOps and GoTemp hardware and subscriptions?
You don’t need to do anything. Once your SubEnergy installation is complete, you will be auto-shipped a GoLabel printer and GoTemp thermometer to your restaurant. Your subscriptions will also be activated so you can start using both products once you receive the hardware. You’ll receive an order and shipping confirmation email once this happens.
What if I already have SubOps or GoTemp?
No problem! You’ll automatically be credited by SubEnergy on your utility bill for the $99 cost of your GoLabel printer and/or GoTemp thermometer once your SubEnergy installation is complete. Your subscription will also stop being billed and will be covered by SubEnergy on your behalf. Refunds and credits will not be paid for any remaining time on your existing subscription.
How do I get my iPad?
IPC requires each franchisee to sign up directly with them for the iPad Rental Program (SubEnergy cannot do this on your behalf). Simply visit www.ipcoop.com/tablets to order your iPad when you are ready. SubEnergy will credit you the cost of the iPad Rental Program on your monthly bill.
UPDATE: As of December 2020, new iPads are temporarily unavailable to order through the Subway iPad Rental Program. This is not a ZippyYum program. In the meantime, franchisees will still receive the same credit for the value of the rental on their energy bill from SubEnergy (regardless of iPads being available to order). Franchisees can purchase their own iPads in the meantime or wait for iPads to become available again through IPC.
Why can’t I get an iPad in Canada?
The iPad Rental Program is not a ZippyYum program. It is run and administered by IPC and Subway. The development of this program in Canada is still in progress and is not yet available for franchisees. As a courtesy, ZippyYum will notify all Canadian franchisees enrolled in our bundle once the iPad Rental Program becomes available in Canada. In the meantime, Canadian franchisees will get the same credit on their energy bill from SubEnergy (regardless of the program being rolled out). Franchisees can purchase their own iPads in the meantime or wait for this program to roll out.
What if I’m already in the Subway iPad Rental Program?
Perfect! You don’t need to do anything. SubEnergy will start crediting you the cost of the iPad rental on your monthly energy bill once your SubEnergy installation is complete.
